Registration Guidelines for Release of a Player
1. ALL players with a Dublin address must first register in Dublin (regardless of the city or level of play the previous year).
2. A release form will be issued by the Dublin Registrar (no board decision required) in the following circumstances ONLY.
3. Any Dublin player wishing to play in another city for any other reason must request a player release in writing or in person from the DUSL Board. The Board will consider all such requests on an individual basis, considering the following:
4. A Release from one city to another is good for that soccer year only and is not a guarantee that the player will be released the following year(s).
5. Being selected to play at a competitive level one year is not a guarantee that the player will remain at that level the years to follow. For this reason, Dublin will not issue release forms prior to a player being selected on a competitive team. (There is always the possibility that a player may not be selected at the level desired, and that Dublin would then be able to place the player on a team in Dublin at a different level of play).
