Dear League Presidents:

The 23rd Annual Crossroads Invitational Tournament is scheduled for December 4th&5th, 2004.  Teams competing in this tournament are the U-10, U-12, U-14, Boys and Girls, Class IV league champions (and/or runner-ups, cup winners) from Danville, Dublin, Fremont, Livermore, Newark, Pleasanton, and San Ramon.  Participating teams will play with the players they had all year.  Player additions and/or guest players are not allowed.

Included in this packet are copies of the coachs letters, 2 Rule sheets, and CYSA applications that should be given to the coaches or officials of teams that will be representing your league. Remember applications are mailed straight to me and not through the CYSA office. We are asking that you designate a person to be the point of contact for your league.  This person should email me at tourn@dusl.org so we can have a name and phone number to deal with any issues and concerns.

Since this is a Class IV tournament, many of the coaches are not familiar with check-in procedures.  Please remind your coaches of the mandatory coaches check-in on Friday, December 3rd at the Dublin San Ramon Services District, at 7:00 PM.  If they are unable to attend, they should send a representative from the team (Asst Coach, Team Parent, League Official).  Coaches or representatives should bring the following: goldenrod (form 1607); players and coaches passes; and signed medical release forms (form 1601).

Each year the tournament committee receives several requests to send an additional team.  So again this year six leagues will be able to send one additional team for a particular age group and gender.  Below is the age group, gender, and league that may send the additional team.  This was based on a random draw, leagues that did not receive a spot will be the first the next year.

If you know that your league will not be sending a team in a particular gender/age group, please contact me so that I can offer the spot to the other leagues.
